To help you enjoy your visit, we’ve introduced several health safety and hygiene measures. Below are some of the measures you can expect to see during your visit as you experience our attraction. Please note that pre-booking your tickets is essential and that our attraction will be operating on reduced capacity to help us manage social distancing and provide you with the same first-class experience. We kindly ask that you help us ensure our attraction remains a safe place to work and play by following the latest guidance relating to travel in your local area

The Bear Grylls Adventure is thrilled to confirm that all our awesome indoor and outdoor adventures reopened on 20th May 2021.

Our reopening is in line with the latest Government guidance set out in Step 2 and Step 3.

We’ve been in contact with the Government and relevant local authorities. and our phased reopening plans are in accordance with recent updates from the Government in response to the COVID-19 Coronavirus.

The health and safety of our guests and staff is always our number one priority. We will continue with our additional hygiene and safety measures which you’ll see throughout your visit, and which were successfully introduced and used throughout 2020.  

We will reopen under limited capacity, and will continue to review all of these measures on a daily basis.

  • Social distancing is being applied across all areas of the attraction with modified group sizes and frequencies for each activity
  • Face masks and coverings are compulsory for all guests over the age of 11
  • Staff health screening is taking place on site on arrival with a contactless temperature checker
  • Enhanced hand sanitiser stations requirements have been positioned across the attraction in key locations
  • Enhanced cleaning regimes in all common areas and for all shared equipment
  • Use of hygiene screens at all desks and till areas
  • Guest-facing staff are equipped with PPE during guest interactions
  • Guests are encouraged to use contactless payment whilst in the attraction

It is compulsory for all guests over the age of 11 to wear a face covering when visiting us. Any guests over the age of 11* without a valid exemption will not be permitted to enter any indoor area without a mask**. All face masks and coverings must be suitably secured to the person. Suitable face masks will be available for purchase at the attraction. 

This advice is in line with updated UK Government regulations across England, as of 8th August 2020.

*Children under 11, people with certain health conditions and people with a disability are exempt. 

** Guests who do not wish to wear a mask will be refused entry into the attraction buildings. In our cafe area, guests will be allowed to remove their masks to consume food and beverages when seated.

At The Bear Grylls Adventure, we have reviewed every part of our operations and have implemented an extensive range of safety measures to ensure we adhere to government and local authority guidelines to create a safe experience for all guests and staff, and this includes our activities.

Visitors may notice spatial separation markings and other similar operating adjustments around the attraction, including floor markings at our queue lines to ensure our activities adhere to the social distancing measures recommended by local governments and health authorities. On the activities, there will be reduced capacity and batching to maintain social distancing that can include grouping within household units.

Our staff will also be encouraged to observe social distancing where practical and we will be providing additional Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and clothing for our guest facing staff which will include activity guides where appropriate.

As part of our enhanced cleaning protocols, activity equipment will be cleaned after each user to ensure it is hygienically ready for the next person, and hand sanitiser will be available to guests throughout the attraction.

We ask all those who visit our attraction to observe closely our strict guidelines on maintaining a safe distance between each other and to maintain good hygiene practices including utilising the hand sanitiser located around the attraction. If they or any family member displays any symptoms of COVID-19, we ask that they postpone their visit.

We would like to reassure everyone that we are taking the necessary measures to provide a safe and hygienic environment. The health and safety of our people is an absolute priority and we will always act to safeguard the well being of our employees and guests wherever possible.

We have implemented an extensive range of safety measures, designed to ensure a happy, safe and healthy experience for all guests and staff.

Please be assured that we would work in close co-operation with the local health authority to support any direct enquiries to them and will always act immediately upon their advice.

We have contingency plans in place in the event that an employee or a guest becomes ill, including an identified quarantine area, tracking as to where they had been and who they had come into contact with, and would instigate a deep clean of affected areas.

We are carrying out daily temperature checks, along with additional hygiene measures, including introducing a large number of hand sanitiser dispensers and additional deep cleaning measures. We have introduced new Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements for a range of activities that our employees routinely perform. These include face masks, disposable gloves, eye protection and hand sanitiser.  The use of such equipment and clothing by our employees is to protect our guests and our staff. All employees have participated in Covid-19 specific training programmes prior to returning to work, instructing them how to stay safe as well as how to keep our guests safe.

The safety and well being of our guests and staff is our priority and we will continue to monitor the situation at our attraction closely, taking all necessary precautions.

We are a card only site at this current time, and are unable to accept cash payments

At our attraction, we are required by the UK Government to hold and potentially share basic information about our visitors as part of contact tracing schemes including NHS Test Trace.

This information will only be shared where necessary to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and support public health efforts. It also helps our attractions protect the health and safety of both staff and guests. In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have introduced specific safety measures at our attraction in an effort to safeguard the health, safety and well being of persons visiting our attractions.

A full list of safety measures being taken at our attraction are listed below:

  • Guests are asked to arrive 30 minutes before your activity start time to allow for additional measures

Visitor requirements

The safety measures put in place in response to the Covid-19 pandemic are there to safeguard the safety and wellbeing of all guests visiting our Attraction. It is in the interest of everyone at our Attraction to comply with the safety measures that have been put in place. Therefore, should an individual not comply with these safety measures, we reserve the right to require that individual to leave the Attraction in accordance with these terms and conditions.

The safety measures that are being and have been introduced are intended to minimise the risk of contracting the Covid-19 virus but this risk cannot be completely eradicated. Therefore, anyone visiting our Attractions acknowledge that they do so at their own risk
